Mission Statement
To see Jesus Christ transform lives and better our communities by providing reentry opportunities.
Vision Statement
Every offender in Southern Maine will have the opportunity to receive and accept the practical supports provided in Jesus’ name from The Transformation Project and its partners.
Purpose Statement
When our incarcerated are released, they face significant and immediate challenges integrating back into their families and communities. Practical supports in the form of housing, employment, education, mentoring and discipleship are imperative for these challenges to be overcome. It’s our purpose at The Transformation Project to provide offenders both inside corrections and upon release these necessary supports as they live out their potential, becoming all that God has created them to be.
Operating Values
Connect – Connection is the initiation to healthy relationship. Once connected, we can begin to know more about each other and how we can support each other in our next steps.
Unite – Unity is key to all relationships and is the foundation to a healthy lifestyle and community. When we are united, we not only share common goals but offer complementary insights and talents.
Serve – When we serve alongside and for each other, we can see that Love is the true motivation of our relationships. Serving others is the groundwork for transparency and vulnerability.
Lead –To lead is to take ownership of the influence you have on others. When we are influencers motivated by Love, we are able to witness the life transformation that comes only from trust and Truth.
Engage – When we engage each other and our community as united servant-leaders, we can truly live out all that God has created us to be, changing the community around us by living out His purpose in our lives.
Statement of Faith
The Lord Jesus Christ, God’s son, redeems us through His death and resurrection, and empowers us by the Holy Spirit. The Bible is God’s Word and through it we are called to live out justice, reconciliation, and redemption. God’s people are called to gather as the body of Christ to carry out God’s purpose for the world.
