Supporting loved ones of the imprisoned and starting to grow
Rose’s Room is a support group for family and loved ones of incarcerated men and women, recognizing that “Individuals don’t go to prison, whole families go to prison.” Rose’s Room is a Maine Prisoner Re-Entry Network collaborative project, and a perfect example of the network rallying around it’s members, identifying roles in advancing good ideas, and, together, making it happen.
Rose has a son in the correctional system and she identified a need – a support group
for people with incarcerated loved ones. Within a few short weeks, through many
more conversations, Rose’s Room was born.
If you have a loved one in corrections, please join us for this therapeutic evening
of healing discussion and supportive listening. Future meetings will be held
on the third Tuesday of every month.
